A true inspiration for the young generation and another pride for General Santos City as Ms. Julean Quefannie Faith Federizo, 20, ranked top 2 at the recently concluded Licensure Examination for Teachers last September 2019.

Ms. Julean is a graduate of BS Education Major in Biology at Mindanao State University General Santos City Campus. Her life story is no big different, yet her dedication and perseverance placed her in an epitome of academic recognition when she graduated Cum Laude late June of 2019.


 

At least fifty (50) exhibitors were banded in a three-day event of the Department of Science and Technology Region XII (DOST XII) in collaboration with Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) during the Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE) 2019 in the city of General Santos City last December 3-5, 2019.


 

GENERAL SANTOS CITY- This year’s “24th Philippine Society for Microbiology- Mindanao Convention and Scientific Meeting” is geared towards United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in addressing poverty, and promoting peace and prosperity by 2030.

Themed as “Moving Mindanao towards Sustainable Development through Microbiology”, this event highlights the important role of Microbiologists in finding solutions and applying research output to address gaps to different environmental and societal issues using green technologies. It also highlights topic discussions on health and environment, quality education, and stakeholder partnerships.


 

The Department of Science and Technology- Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST ITDI), through DOST Regional Office no. XII (DOST 12) is once again extending emergency support to earthquake-survivors of Cotabato Province.

Engr. Tamano Sacar, representing DOST 12 OIC-Office of the Regional Director Engr. Mahmud L. Kingking, together with DOST Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) Cotabato Province Technical Staff, Engr. Dante C. Vergara and Engr. Garry Diopol of DOST ITDI -Environment and Biotechnology Division visited Municipality of Makilala, Cotabato Province last November 20, 2019 to extend training on Water Treatment Technology as part of Emergency Response to earthquake-survivors of Brgy. Malabuan and Brgy. Malungon, Makilala.


 

KORONADAL CITY- November 19, 2019- The Department of Science and Technology Region XII (DOST XII) in collaboration with Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) will be holding the Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (RICE) 2019 on its annual celebration.

RICE is the center stage of the DOST’s National Science and Technology Week (RSTW2019) - SOCCSKSARGEN celebration this coming December 3-5, 2019 in SM General Santos City with the theme “Science for the People: Enabling Technologies for Sustainable Development”.


 

KORONADAL CITY- The annual regional celebration of National Science and technology Week is scheduled to kick-off this December 3-5, 2019 at SM GenSan, General Santos City as the Department of Science and technology (DOST) Region 12 showcases the crucial role of Science, Technology and Innovations (STI) in achieving the 17 sustainable Development Goals with this year’s theme: “Science for the People: Enabling Technologies for Sustainable Development”.


 

Energy Audit SOCCSKSARGEN Team is now gearing up for more energy-focused productivity-enhancement activities after the successful turnover of estimated P800, 000 worth of Energy Audit Equipment this year. Eight (8) of this equipment were already turned over last February 2019 and the other two (2) are scheduled for delivery this Friday, November 15, 2019.


 

KIDAPAWAN CITY- November 7, 2019- The Department of Science and Technology Region XII (DOST XII) through the leadership of Engr. Mahmud L. Kingking, OIC-Office of the Regional Director accompanied by Engr. Sammy P. Malawan, Assistant Regional Director, Engr. Normina Pahm, Provincial Director of PSTC North Cotabato Province and other DOST XII staff paid a courtesy call to the North Cotabato Provincial Government Acting Governor Emmylou "Lala" Taliño Mendoza.


 

KORONADAL CITY- October 30, 2019- Department of Science and Technology -Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) pledged to give 6000 "pack of hope" food from the Packaging Technology Division (PTD)


 

The Department of Science and Technology XII together with DOST- Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) conducted a project monitoring activity to the FNRI’s Project Accelerated Nutrition Advocacy for Kids (ANAK) Model Delivery System for Complementary Feeding and Nutrition Education strategy last October 22-25, 2019 in Sultan Kudarat province.
