TACURONG CITY - April 29 - In response to the ongoing health threats of the COVID-19 pandemic, the DOST XII Regional Office under the leadership of its OIC-Regional Director, Engr. Mahmud L. Kingking distributed quality rice and ready-to-drink calamansi juice which are products of the DOST XII Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SET-UP) assisted firms to identified residents and frontliners of the province.


KORONADAL- April 30- 100 households in Banga, South Cotabato received quality rice and ready to drink calamansi juice from DOST XII. The goods distributed came from producers and beneficiaries of DOST XII Small Enterprises and Technology Upgrading Program (SET-UP) who expressed their heartfelt willingness to help their needy brothers and sisters in the region.

The poorest of the poor residents of barangay Reyes in Banga were the benificiaries of the assistance.


KIDAPAWAN CITY- April 30- The DOST XII through the leadership of Engr. Mahmud L. Kingking, OIC-Office of the Regional Director together with the DOST XII regional staff and North Cotabato Provincial S&T Director (PSTD) Engr. Normina Pahm and her staff distributed rice assistance from the DOST XII assisted firm, face masks and Calamansi juice to the 53 workers of seven (7) Small Enterprises Technology Upgrading Program (SET-UP) beneficiaries in Cotabato province.

Marawi City: As part of the ongoing projects of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST 12) in the rehabilitation and recovery program for Marawi City and the nearby municipalities of Lanao del Sur, a Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Hub will be established and implemented in Mindanao State University (MSU) main campus, Marawi City by Engr. Mahmud L. Kingking- OIC to the Office of the Regional Director of DOST 12 in collaboration with the DOST-Metals and Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC).

The P30 million-woth project will be the provision of equipment and technical intervention to support and develop IDPs from and local entrepreneurs in Marawi City and Lanao del Sur.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region XII as chair to the Health Research and Development Consortium (HRDC) XII in SOCCSKSARGEN region, together with its member institutions, continues to generate and manage quality health research in response to region's socio-cultural and gender needs.


A potential market in the making, farmers in General Santos City are now growing different varieties of grapes.

Recently, the Department of Science and Technology Region XII (DOST 12) experts conducted a three-day Technology-Demonstration Training on Grapes Processing cum GMP, Food Safety, Packaging Orientation Seminar at MBX Grapes Vineyard Farm, General Santos City last January 15-17, 2020.

KORONADAL CITY- At least 12 passers of the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) gathered today for signing of contracts and scholarship orientations in the DOST XII office in Koronadal City.

The passers were among the 39 third year college students from different universities and colleges in the region 12 who took SEI examinations last June 2, 2019.

Engr. Sammy P. Malawan, the DOST XII Assistant Regional Director represented OIC-Office of the Regional Director Engr. Mahmud L. Kingking who is currently in a prior commitment.
