One of the technology adapters of DOST XII under the Small Enterprises Upgrading Technology Program (SETUP) named Kablon Farm Foods Corporation received the Plaque of Recognition for being the National Awardee of SETUP PRAISE Award - Most Innovative MSME in the 2020 during the National Science and Technology Week Celebration.
The Department of Science and Technology XII, Regional Director Engr. Sammy P. Malawan, CESE, Director Engr. Mahdali R. Alonto of PSTO South Cotabato and Engr. Szalinah S. Mercado, Supervising Science Research Specialist, personally and formally awarded the prestigious plaque to Engr. Ernesto B. Pantua Jr., co-owner and general manager of KFFC on March 24, 2021 at Kablon Farms, Tupi, South Cotabato.
The DOST SETUP PRAISE Award recognizes MSMEs that showed improved-productivity and introduced remarkable innovation. The search for the awardee is done annually from and among Technology Adapters of the 16 regions all over the Philippines. The criteria for selection includes quality products, expanded markets, upgraded competency through trainings and seminar, energy utilization, good manufacturing practices, food safety and others.
KFFC was also the recipient of the DOST Regional SETUP’s PRAISE Award in SOCCSKSARGEN. KFFC is a family-owned company in Barangay Kablon, Tupi that combined sustainable methods of farming, and food processing technology and firmly committed to produce high quality food products.
