    The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Office of the Undersecretary for Regional Operations (OUSEC-RO) organized the 3rd Quarterly Regional Directors’ Meeting last 30 September 2022 at Twin Lakes Hotel Tagaytay, Laurel, Batangas. The meeting centered on the alignment of DOST Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPA) to the 8-point socioeconomic agenda of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

KORONADAL CITY – The Department of Science and Technology XII (DOST XII) in response to Bayanihan Bakunahan Ligtas Lakas Buong Pilipinas COVID-19 National Vaccination Days (NVD) November 29, 30 and December 1 2021 together with partner agencies- the Department of Budget and Management XII, Department of Social Welfare and Development XII, Department of Health XII, Commission on Higher Education XII, Department of Human Settlement and Urban Development XII and Department of Interior and Local Government XII under the Regional Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (RIATF-IED) formed a Vaccination Immersion Team to visit the top 3 lowest vaccinated barangays in South Cotabato to monitor the vaccination process, and provide assistance.

 

With the purpose of communicating the recent updates on DOST XII projects and activities, the Department of Science and Technology Region XII (DOST XII) Regional Director Engr. Sammy P. Malawan CESE through North Cotabato Provincial Director Michael T. Mayo and SarGen Provincial Director For. Nabil Hadji Yassin in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency XII conducted a Kapihan/Pressconference at SM Mall of Gensan yesterday, March 31, 2022.

One of the public good technologies which the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) offers for commercialization is the Enhanced Nutribun (e-nutribun) of the DOST-Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI).


After the series of project visits and assessment to the Indigenous People (IP) communities initiated by the Office of 2nd District of South Cotabato Congressman Ferdinand Hernandez together with Department of Science and Technology Regional XII in coordination with Lt. Col. Zandro Alvez, Battalion Commamder Special Forces Battalion, Capt. Erwin Villanueva, Company Commander of 11th Special Forces Company and Capt. Michael Clememte, Company Commander of 12th Special Forces Company of Philippine Army (PA), at least 5 sitios in the barangay of Ned, Lake Sebu and Laconon, T’boli, South Cotabato, will receive Ram Pump from DOST XII.

Personnel of DOST XII in collaboration with 11th & 12th Special Forces Company and Office of 2nd District Congressman Ferdinand Hernandez of South Cotabato conducted site visit and evaluation to the geographically-isolated and disadvantageous Indigenous People (IP) communities in Sitio Lamdel, Sitio Blit & Sitio Bago in Brgy. Ned, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato last June 26, 2021.
