KORONADAL CITY Three proponents from the region signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Science and Technology Region XII for technology upgrading of processing equipment and other assistance through the DOSTโs Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) amounting to 3.6 million in total.
Two cooperators are from Sultan Kudarat and one is from North Cotabato, all of which are expected to receive technological assistance intended for the projects. The proponents are as follows:
1. D&L Dairy Farm of Mlang, North Cotabato, owned by Mr. Dominic Paclibar and Mrs. Ma. Elisa Paclibar
2. Seamall Petron Service Station Bakeshop owned by Mrs. Suzanne Juliano and Mr. Luis Juliano
3. Jonahโs Food Product owned by Mr. Jonah Guanzon and Ms. Teobe Lucas
On her opening message, OIC Chief of Technical Operations Engr. Szalinah S. Mercado emphasized the importance of helping one another as to upgrade the community by providing technologies to small enterprises in the region.
The MOA signing held at DOST Regional Office XII in Koronadal City last Friday, March 4, 2020 was led by Regional Director Engr. Sammy P. Malawan, CESE represented by OIC Chief, Technical Operation Engr. Szalinah S. Mercado and assisted by Science Research Specialist II Engr. Sacar Tamano and other DOST XII staff.
Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program or SETUP is a flagship program of the DOST encouraging and assisting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt technological innovations to improve their products, services, and operations and increase their productivity and competitiveness.
